The Largest Barbecue in the World
Friday, April 18th, 2008More than a thousand barbecue fanatics in Uruguay grilled up 12 metric tonnes of beef on Sunday, setting a new Guinness world record while promoting the country’s succulent top export. 1,250 people grilled the beef and about 20,000 spectators cried with joy when a Guinness judge confirmed the barbecue record had been broken.

Sunday, March 9th, 2008The World’s Tallest Snowman was created in in the town of Bethel, Maine. The 122ft and one inch creation, with eyelashes made from skis and painted red tyres for her lips, has been named after the state’s senior Senator Olympia Snowe.

Monday, December 3rd, 2007World’s highest swing has been set on an 1,100ft TV tower in China. The swing is called “Game for brave people”. The tower is the world’s second-highest steel tower, after the Kiev tower in Ukraine.
